Recently a month ago, Google has introduced an interesting app called Inbox which presents emails differently. Inbox is available across all the platforms including iOS also. It features Sparrow like gestures which help you to achieve Inbox zero and easy to move the mails to trash. It displays most important mails which tend to get lost in deluge of unwanted mail users get battered with.
It is available for Android, iOS and Chrome, but unfortunately it is unavailable for the Safari users. But luckily there is a trick to access Inbox from Safari browser, here is the trick.
How to access Google Inbox on Safari
Most of the online services, check for the browser’s user ID whether the app is supported on the browser or not and Inbox does the same. So, the trick here is fooling the Inbox that we are using Chrome.
- Launch Safari browser on your Mac and go to Advanced tab in preferences
- Here you will find show develop menu in menu bar and mark that checkbox
- Now go to inbox.google.com on Safari browser and login using your Google account. Here it will display a message showing that Inbox only works on Google Chrome
- Now choose Google Chrome-Mac in Develop under Safari’s menu bar. After selecting it, the page will be automatically reloaded and you will be navigated to Google Inbox page
Inbox is now available only on the invite basis, so to get an invite mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or request a friend for an invite. This procedure can be used on different browser too, including Opera and Firefox.
