The aim of the game is to travel as much as you can before crashing. A number of characters with different skills and weaknesses are present in the game. The main character is Alto with average stats. Additionally, you can unlock Maya, who can perform backflips much quicker than Alto and other characters as well.
Occasionally, you will be chased down by elders who try to hit you with their whip and can only be shaken off by jumping over large gaps. The game offers in-game purchases such as a wingsuit using the coins you have collected. The game provides goals at the beginning that you need to complete, such as grinding a certain distance, traveling a certain distance or collecting a certain number of llamas.
