App Store for iOS 11 updated with faster checkout option

Apple has updated App Store to latest version 4.4 with iOS 11 enhancements, faster checkout process and an option to bypass pre-authorization to buy a new full-price iPhone.

Apple has released a new update to its App Store and the same has started to roll out for the users across the globe. The latest version of App Store, dubbed as 4.4, brings a number of iOS 11 enhancements and other features for better checkout and activation of the iPhone.

One of the major features added to the App Store includes the addition of a new scanner to scan your credit card at the time of checkout. The scanner allows you to place your credit card in front of the camera and it just reads the card number with other necessary details such as expiry date and the name of credit card holder. This feature makes sure that you do not need to enter the card details manually and it sure saves a bit of time when you are trying to checkout with a product or service at App Store.

Users will also be able to buy a full-priced iPhone directly from the App Store. This makes the checkout process easy and makes sure that the users do not need to log onto and can easily checkout with the details already saved on their apple account and app store. Earlier, users needed to pre-authorize their purchase in case of buying a new iPhone. Now, Apple allows them to skip the process to activate later. The same feature has been available for the users buying iPhone X from since November this year.

What’s New in Version 4.4

  • iOS 11 enhancements
  • Scanner now available to easily add your credit card information at checkout
  • Customers now have the option to bypass pre-authorization and activate later on full price purchases of iPhones on AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint
