According to the latest reports, Apple’s original tv series is a half-hour show which is about the story of poet Emily Dickinson starring Hailee Steinfeld.
Apple has recently given a direct-to-series order for the show. It is defined as a comedic glance into Dickinson’s life that explores the restraints of society, gender, and family. It is made from the perspective of a young writer who doesn’t belong to her own time.
Emily Dickinson was a productive American poet who was known for short lines, slant rhyme, and unusual use of punctuation. Most of her job centred on death and immortality, and she lived an isolated life.
Hailee Steinfeld will be taking the eponymous role of Emily Dickinson. Steinfeld is also a musician and recognized for her roles in True Grit, Pitch Perfect 2 and 3, Ender’s Game, and for film Edge of Seventeen. This show will trace Steinfeld’s first ever serious television role.
Alena Smith the writer will be serving as a writer and executive producer on the series. David Gordon Green will be directing this series.
