Apple Pay Cash now available on iOS 11.2 and watchOS 4.2

Apple has launched Apple Pay Cash in iOS 11.2 beta 2 which was recently released. Check inside for more details.

Apple’s payment app Apple Pay Cash, is now available in it’s beta version on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. With the help of Apple Pay Cash, you can send and receive payments using Apple pay over iMessage. You can also pay using this app in the stores with Apple Pay Cash virtual debit card.

According to the company, people in US can use Apple Pay Cash as soon as iOS 11.2 and watchOS 4.2 are officially released. For now, the developers and public beta testers can start using it today.

To use Apple Pay Cash, user is supposed to have Apple Pay setup. Also, the user needs to have iOS 11.2 or watchOS 4.2 beta in order to use the app.

The company has released the names of devices on which new payment app can be used. These are iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or later, iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation), iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 or later, and Apple Watch.

In order to send money, Apple Pay Cash works with Apple Pay credit cards and debit cards. Credit card transfers attract a small fees of 3% for my AmEx while debit card transfers are non-chargeable.

For the first time, Apple unveiled it’s payment app back in June this year. However, that time company didn’t release it as the feature wasn’t ready. Since then the company developers were working on the features internally and now public beta testers are also included.

Apple Pay Cash also works with Siri. You can use it for sending and receiving money from any of the contact of yours.
