Apple is expected to launch 6.1-inch model with a low price cost of $550 which will be available in two models with one offering single sim and the other with dual sim slots. Apple has never provided the dual-SIM card slot in any of its iPhone till now. It is also believed that it can cost from $550-$650, whereas the single sim could cost little lesser. Apple is expected to bring these models in this year 2018. A report on Tech Radar mentions that the dual-SIM facility might be limited to only few countries. This is the only model that is expected to come up with the LCD screen.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple will use Intel’s XMM 7560 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X20 modems for faster LTE speeds, and that the DSDS devices will support LTE+LTE connections to let two SIM cards to be active concomitantly using one set of chips. A dual-SIM feature would make it easier for people to switch carriers when traveling by allowing and Kuo believes it would be highly popular in China.
Kuo also predicts that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone and the 6.5-inch OLED iPhone will be Apple’s most popular devices by the next year, with purchaser less interested in the 5.8-inch model due to its smaller screen, higher price tag, and lack of DSDS functionality compared to the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone.
Apple is cresting buzz by planning to launch the three iPhones in 2018, the 6.1-inch LCD model outlined here, a 5.8-inch OLED model positioned as a sort of second-generation iPhone X, and a 6.5-inch OLED model that can be thought of as an “iPhone X Plus.”
The 6.1-inch LCD model in particular could account for 65 to 75 percent of total iPhone shipments from 3Q 2018 to 3Q 2019. It seems to create a popular hit by launching these models. It is also expected to generate more profit comparing to the previous models.
