With Fortnite on iOS, Epic Games eyes huge success in mobile gaming

Mobile games are generally looked down upon by gamers though for the life of us. Perhaps fortnite on iOS will help change some mind.

While the game is a port of the hugely successful PC game, Fortnite is catering to mobile gamers in a way.

Not only is Fortnite in the top 10 grossing apps on iPhone in 23 countries, its also making massive amounts of money from epic games.

While Fortnite was still in an invite only testing stage the game made $620,000 a day from in app purchases.

This means (In US) that fortnite is out earning relative behemoths in the mobile gaming space, Candy Crush and Clash of Clans.

The other battle royale game contending for the mobile space- PUBG Mobile is nowhere to be seen on the iTunes Top 100 free Apps chart but it is number 20 on the Google Play Store.

Fortnite is not yet available for Android devices though the game could easily gross $3 Million a day once the game’s user base is able to grow to the size of iOS player base.

Fortnite is free to play on PC, Xbox one, PS4, and Mac iOS with an android releasing soon.
