- On your Mac device launch System Preferences.
- Click on users and groups and there tap on the change password button.
- Here you Mac device will give you the option to use iCloud password as your device login password, this will be convenient but risky. As mentioned above individual passwords for very service will be better.
- If you want to use iCloud Password as login password then click on it, for separate password click on change password.
- Type your old password and hit the tap key on your keyboard.
- Type in your new password, if you looking for help to create new password then click on the key icon which is at the right of the password field. OS X’s password assistant app will help you generate one then hit tab key again.
- Verify the new password by tying it again and then hit tab one more time.
- If you wish to give yourself a hint, type it in the last field. Then click the change password button to save changes.
