- Initially open the Automator from your application folder.
- In that click on new document button.
- Now select the applications from the list of the document types and click the choose button.
- Drag and run shell script action from the list off action to the workflow pane on the right hand side of window.
- In the text area type Afplay followed by the full path to the second file you would like to use as a start-up sound. You can also type Afplay then drag the sound file into text area.
- To check the sound play is correct, click on the run button at the right top of the screen. If you receive a warning that the application will not receive input when run inside Automator. Just click ok.
- Once you’ve confirmed the sound plays correctly, choose save button from the file menu.
- Enter name of the application that you will remember, choose your application folder from the where drop down menu and tap on save.

- Initially you have to open the system preferences from the menu of your device.
- Under system preferences click on users and groups option.
- From the left side of the widow select the user you would like to add start-up items and then click to select login items tab.
- Click the lock at the bottom left hand corner of the window.
- Enter the administrative name and password then click the unlock button.
- Click on the plus button to add new startup item.
- Select the application or item that you would like to open at start-up from the pop up window then click add button. The item will be added to the list of launch on start-up.
- To automatically make a startup item hidden on launch, check the Hide select box next to its name in the list of Login Items.
