While setting up Apple Watch procedure, you’re asked to select your preferred language that will be used system wide in applications, the user interface and other places. Your choice also determine the language used for dictation. For example, my watch is set to English even though my mother tongue is Croatian and if you want to change the language that you have selected previously to other language then simply follow the steps given below which provides the information about how to change dictation language on Apple Watch.
How to change dictation language on Apple Watch :
- Open the stock or third party application that makes you to speak text such as messages, Slack, Facebook Messenger.
- Now tap on the microphone icon with in the app to dictating. When the similar dictation interface pop up, press the display firmly to reveal the hidden option.
- Now click on choose language and on the next window you will see the list of languages to choose from as enabled on your iPhone in settings >> General settings >>Keyboard.
The languages that are added to the keyboard are available for dictation on Apple Watch by the way of force touching the dictation interface. Changing the dictation language on the fly is remember on per app basis.
