Apple Watch contains sensors, as long as you wear it will check and log your heart rate by itself every ten minutes and all the collect data will be transferred automatically to Health app on iPhone. The only way to measure your heart rate manually on Apple Watch is through Glances.
By default, your heart rate is included in Glances. If you removed it, you’ll have to add it back in order to manually check your heart rate. You can do so the same way you removed it, by using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Just tap on Glances and add the Heartbeat glance back again. - From the Clock Face of your Apple Watch, swipe up from the button of the screen to access glances.
- Swipe left and right to navigate through different glances.
- Once you find heartbeat glance just stop it.
- Wait for a few seconds while your Apple Watch determines your heart rate and displays it.
