Currently Apple is trying to fix for the bug causes Messages and notification to crash iOS 8, there are many things you can do right now to help prevent iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch being effected and try to recover if you’ve already been affected. Follow the instruction given below to over come the unicode message crush bug on your Apple Devices.
How to prevent crashes from the lock screen :
- Open the settings applications from your iPhone or iPad Home screen.
- Tap on notifications followed by messages.
- Toggle show on lock screen to off.
How to prevent Apple Watch Crashes :
- launch the Apple Watch app from iPhone or iPad home screen.
- Tap on notifications followed by messages.
- There tap on message and toggle show alerts to off.
How to notification center to prevent crashes :
If you already received the bad Unicode string maliciously send yourself or send by any body else to the same app.
- Launch Siri and say send a message to (name).
- Say send it or tap send
You can also use share sheet
- Open photos from your iPhone and iPad and tap on any photo and tap on share button.
- Tap on messages icon and enter the recipient and tap send.
This should the notification clashes, but still you won’t be able to open any conversation or screen that contains that bad string.
