By using passcode users can secure their data and information in device. Previously there was four digit passcode in iOS and now after updating the mobile OS to iOS 9 it became six digit passcode.
Actually there is a confusion with this change. While iOS 9 will ask new users to create a six-digit passcode when changing a passcode, it is not a requirement. For users who updated their devices, your old four-digit code will still remain. Only now you have the option to add those extra digits; the choice is yours. If you want to change to a six digit passcode and return to the four digit passcode, create your own multi digit passcode or create an alpha numeric passcode as you can do through settings. In this article lets us see how to set six digit passcode on iOS 9.
- Initially go to settings and then tab on Touch ID and Passcode and enter your current passcode.
- Tap on change passcode followed by entering in your current password again then it will ask you to enter the new passcode. By default there will be six digits.
- Even you can change at right below the digit placeholders is the Passcode Options button. Tap on this and select the passcode option you prefer from the pop-up menu.
- Once you select the option you can create you passcode as per you required.
