Simply we can say pinned tabs are similar to bookmarks on Chrome browser. Here in this article let us discuss about how to use pinned tabs in Safari on OS X EI Capitan by following the steps that are given below :
- Initially you have to open the safari browser on your iOS device and launch new tab on the safari (Command + T will open new tab).
- Click and hold the tab that you’d like to pin and drag it all the way to the left of the tab bar, release to create pin the tab.
- The pinned site is placed as a tab in the left side of the Safari tab bar.
Some users like to use right-click to pin the tabs quickly and easily, then follow the below steps :
- You have to open atleast two tabs in the safari including the page that you want to pin as a tab.
- Now right-click on the tab that you want to pin and choose the pin tab in the options.
- Pin tab will appear on the left side of the tab bar.
Steps to remove pinned tabs from Safari :
There are two ways to remove pinned tabs on Safari that are given below
- Simply drag and drop the Pinned Tab from the left side of the tab bar away and to the right to change it back to a regular browsing tab.
- Right click the pin tab and choose unpin tab option as shown in above picture.
