Instagram has started dropping off a feature that would allow users to make purchases directly in the Instagram application. The feature evokes users to record it as a debit or credit card to their profile, add a security pin. It begins making holdings within the Instagram application itself. They have confirmed the feature’s existence, saying it is currently live with several of early partners. Dinner booking application Resy is one of those early partners now. Users with this feature can make bookings through Resy partner profile pages and pay for that reservation directly within the Instagram application.
Instagram Captions says users can expect direct payments for things like buying movie tickets and book reservations like early examples. It’s not yet clear if Instagram has any plans for peer-to-peer payments within its application. The rival company Snapchat has offered this feature for various users.
The social network is a source to some of the current trends in areas like fashion, design, and many more. That’s one of the reasons why Instagram wants to enter the commerce market. It would be a huge project both for businesses and Instagram. It will be very interesting to see how Instagram will make the profit in the market by this new feature. But Instagram is all set to launch this feature for the benefits of all.
