According to the performance benchmark vendor Antutu, the iPhone 6s was the best performing smartphone of 2015.
The Top 10 best-performing smartphones of 2015 were released last Wednesday in a report by the popular benchmarking service Antutu. The iPhone 6s proved to be a clear winner in the performance ranking report by taking first place and is considered nearly 41% more powerful than second place Huawei Mate 8, which is Android’s most powerful smartphone.
In the lead, the iPhone 6s (Plus) received a score of 132,620, Huawei Mate 8 received a score of 92,746, Meizu Pro 5 scored 86,214, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 scored 83,364, Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge+ came in fifth with 82,087 points, the iPhone 6 (Plus) scored 80,554, Oneplus 2 received 79,747 points, Xiaomi Note Pro got 78,903 points and Nexus 6p came in tenth place with a score of 78,381.
For the first time this year, the company has added Apple to its annual Performance Report. The version 6.0 of Antutu now supports cross-platform benchmarking, whereas before it only covered the Android platform.
Many beliefs that the iPhone 6s came in first due to Apple’s custom dual-core A9 processor. At one point Qualcomm was the leader in making fast processor chips, but this year Apple proved to be victorious in its first year on the Performance Ranking Report.
