The TIME Magazine today has rolled out it’s list of 25 Best Inventions of the year 2017. Among other smart tech products and gadgets, it has put recently launched Apple IPhone X under the name ‘A Smarter Smartphone’.
Time claims Apple IPhone X to be the world most sophisticated smartphone. Among other things, the article has talked about edge to edge screen, augmented reality supported processor and the camera, which is smart enough to identify your face.
The article has quoted Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering who goes on to say that the phone is exactly as they wanted. According to him, ‘I look at the design as something we really wanted to do since day one’.
The removal of Apple’s home button from the phone is also talked about. The chief design officer of Apple, Jonathan Ive claims that it is ‘looking into the future’. According to him, ‘I actually think the path of holding onto features that have been effective, whatever the cost, is a path that leads to failure’.
Ive goes on to say that putting so much power in such a small device has it’s own consequences. According to him, ‘As you would expect, there’s a financial consequence to integrating the sheer amount of processing power into such a small device’.
Through IPhone X, Time has stated what future devices have for us. The camera censors and X’s screen were the two of the most talked about specifications of the phone.
