Online Apple Store adds PayPal payment support in US and UK



On Thursday, Apple has made an advancement to its online store by adding PayPal support to make payments. Previously Apple Store accepts payments only through credit and debit cards and for the first it added online payment service option.

For now only US and UK stores have added PayPal as an payment method for hardware purchases. Apple also promoting PayPal online payment method which now allows the customers pay for the purchases over 18 months without interest.

Apple offered PayPal support for its iTunes store, iBook store and app store and also some other third party in-app solutions, but it never allowed PayPal or any other online payment service to its online hardware store. Also this new advancement is only available to for now and Apple Store iOS app is yet to get this update. This new addition to the online store made it easy for the existing PayPal users.

Both Apple and PayPal share a arduous relationship, especially after Apple announced its payment service Apple Pay in September, which is competitor to PayPal. But PayPal took the advantage of celebrity photo leak controversy which created black mark on Apple’s cloud security.
