Sidefari allows to view two Safari tabs side-by-side using Split View

Apple introduced Split view multitasking features for the iPad with iOS 9, however there is a major gripe with how Apple had implemented it for Safari with Sidefari app.

Sidefari allows to view two Safari tabs side-by-side using Split View

The application takes advantage of the Safari View Controller to make it possible to open a second webpage in Split View on your iPad. Sidefari is not meant to act as a Safari replacement. The app is too barebones to act as one and it lacks tabbed browsing, syncing, and other features that are a must-have for a browser to have in 2015.

The application works as a companion to safari with a webpage open in Safari and you simply need to invoke Sidefari from the Split view menu and then proceed to type in or paste the URL that you want to visit. Even you can use the Sidefari extension to send the link from safari to the app. The app is also capable of holding up to 50 URLs in the history for you but that’s the only other feature it offers.

Let us the features that includes in this Sidefari app :

  • As mentioned above this app is integrated with Safari view controller which is used for multitasking.
  • Included action extension to open the URLs from any where.
  • History always visible for quick an access to a previously browsed website.
  • There is an option to delete and/or disable history.

This application is compatible with iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and iPad pro. Right now this app is available on App Store with a price tag of $0.99 and interested candidates can grab this app from App Store.
