Reviews of AirPods are:
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, citing “people familiar with the matter”, says we should expect the new product – which already has an internal designation, B288 – in 2018. AirPods has a very high price; however, at launch, they were actually priced less than most “truly wireless” earbuds on the market. AirPods 2 should be announced at WWDC 2018 in June. Apple would offer substantial improvements and Apple claims the W2 offers 85 percent faster Wi-Fi and 50 percent more power-efficient Wi-Fi and Bluetooth than the W1, which appeared in the first AirPods. Another criticism is the perceived tendency to fall out of one’s ear; however, testing by Business Insider has shown that it is quite unlikely for this to happen during normal use for most ear types. Apple then upgraded the AirPods’ firmware to 3.5.1, available to all users, which addressed connectivity and battery drain issues. Users were reporting upwards of 30% idle discharge per day. Sometimes you may hear a pop sound from the circuitry of Airpods.

Additions to be made:

Apple’s chief designer Jony Ive said the airpods’ design was inspired by Stormtroopers. PodSkinz offers a solution to secure your airpods. It slim silicon skin fit perfectly to airpods charging the case and protect it against bumps, drops and shock. If you lose one of them either L or R earpiece, don’t worry you can buy a replacement from Apple for $69.

The AirPods cost £159/$159. The third-gen models could see a price bump, If jamming complex components into a small form factor and sealing it with a copious amount of glue were a game, Apple would be winning.
