Twitter supports landscape mode for iPhone 6 plus users

Twitter rolled out two new features for its mobile application and the features includes a news tab and an iPhone 6 plus landscape mode. The first feature is a Featured News tab the company is still experimenting where this tab is appearing only for some users. This tab is located at the bottom of the screen between the notification icon and messages icon.

Featured news will make it easier for users to skim through the trending news headlines in order to keep the users engaged. As mentioned earlier this feature is still under process and soon we can see this feature on Android as well as iOS. Twitter supports landscape mode for iPhone 6 plus, this mode make users to manage their twitter feed when device is placed horizontally with two hands. The User Interface of the application is similar to the Twitter app on the iPad. Landscape mode currently available for iPhone 6 plus.

Twitter is also working on its own new product named project lighting, which will make it easier for users to follow the trending news in the timeline rather than following twitter users taking about the event. The timeline will curate different videos, photos and text tweets that are all relevant information to the occurring news event.
