In Apple TV its difficult to watch and browse the internet services on the television as you would like to do, but there are few ways to watch certain content directly from the Mac using Air play and some iOS applications also has air play integrated.
From the settings of the Apple TV and then displaying the screen from your Mac on TV which enables to watch anything on your Apple Television. It is also possible to share the streams directly from your Mac and iOS device to Apple TV where this feature can be activated by browsing the internet and watching internet television on your apple TV. Another way for browsing in Apple TV is by installing the Airweb web browser for Apple TV application on your iOS devices like iPhone or iPad. This features almost equal to the Air Play. but beams web browser to your Apple TV so you can browse the web easily using your iPhone as the controller. You can watch iPlayer this way, but unfortunately 4oD and TV Player aren’t supported. We’ll explain how to set it up below.

- On the Apple TV go to settings >> general >> Network and check whether Apple TV is connected to same network as Mac or iOS device.
- Click back on Remote to return settings and choose Air Play.
- Set Air Play to On.
- Now every thing is ready to send content from Mac or iOS devices to Apple TV.
How to watch the web on an Apple TV by using the Mac, follow the below steps to watch content
- Open system preferences.
- Click on displays.
- Click on the AIr Play display and Choose Apple TV.
- That’s and you are able to see your desktop on the Apple TV, suppose you are interested to view any web content just open browser on your Mac, and navigate to webpage and start watching the content.
