Apple seems to be gearing up for its WWDC event. As the preparation is in full swing for the for 2018 conference, Apple on Tuesday updated its official WWDC app for iPhones and iPads which begins June 4.
According to Apple’s release notes for the app, the revamped update introduces a whole new different look and feel that is designed to make it simpler to find favourites, downloaded videos, sessions. This is primarily aimed so that for those developers who might not be able to attend the event but can access the WWDC resources as fast as possible. While browsing through the applications, the app will suggest related videos and events.
Apple is really making it easier for the developers who are attending the event. The app has been updated with the new WWDC 2018 schedule that outlines and gives a timeline various sessions and labs that will be held at the event.
In an attempt to add little spice and fun to the conference, Apple has exclusively announced a special Close Your Rings Challenge for the Apple Watch owners who are attending WWDC. According to the challenge the users will be able to join with other three attendees between the time period of 3rd June to 7th June and try and close their Activity rings. To participate in the event, the users have to download the Challenges App, apply for an invite and code and then join their respective team. Apple didn’t announce what the reward will be however it did mention that handed out on June 8 at the McEnery Convention Centre
The app is offering features like on-site maps and start times for labs, sessions, and events for the users are attending the event. For those who might not be able to make it, the application includes live video streams of the keynote, labs, and sessions.
The Worldwide Developers Conference starts on June 4 with a keynote that will take place at 10:00 a.m. Apple will live to stream the keynote on both its website and on the Apple TV.
