WWDC 2018 : iOS 12 to revamp lock screen

iOS12 concept by iHelp BR

Apple is going to reveal the latest iteration of iOS 12 soon. The UI designs for iOS 12 along with the list of features are continuously being predicted online. Recently iHelp BR has released a new design concept for the iOS 12.

In the design concept released this week, the site shows the iOS 12 with an Apple Watch-like complications on the lock screen. The support for complications would allow the users to place up to four different shortcuts on the lock screen and the details of these apps can be viewed by using 3D touch. In the image, it is depicted that the complications could be quick access to the Phone app, weather details, music, stocks, and more.

The complications aren’t the only thing that the concept shows. The iPhone X users might also get an always-on mode. This long-awaited feature might finally make its debut on the iPhone and it will come with a ‘fading effect.’ This means that the display would appear dark with only the time and shortcuts appearing on the screen.

The concept also shows a less invasive volume indicator along with the dark mode. These are two of the features that the users are demanding for quite some time.

These concept images look great but Apple has already mentioned that iOS 12 will primarily focus on fixing the bugs as well as improving the performance. This means that any change to the UI will be made in this iteration.

With the upcoming WWDC event which is scheduled from 4th June to 8th June we will finally get to see the new iOS version along with the watchOS 5, tvOS 12, and macOS 10.14.
