Apple’s Apple Pay recently gained support from more banks and credit unions across the United States, which adds to the company’s mobile payment service, and comes out to be over 70 new members.
After a couple dozen banks jumped on the support wagon earlier this month, Apple has added over 70 participating banks to their list of active partners including HSBC in the U.S. To know the name of the new banks which adds support for Apple Pay will be listed in the Apple official website.
Before a week, TD Canada noted on its website that Apple Pay is coming soon. This was confirmed by iPhone in Canada who posted this picture up below.
In addition, China is expected to launch Apple Pay soon, which will join the U.S and the UK. Apple Pay supports contactless payments in stores using the iPhone 6 (and newer) as well as the Apple Watch, which works with the iPhone 5 on up.
Apple Pay also supports purchases in app on the iPhone 6 (or later) and the iPad with Touch ID. Furthermore, when iOS 9 arrived, Apple Pay added support for Discover cards, retail cards and loyalty cards. Passbook, where Apple Pay is located on iOS, received a new app icon and name, Wallet, to display the new changes that occurred.
