This article guides you about how to add and use today widgets in notification center of OS X, even we can do the same thing in iOS 8. Now Notification center has two sections namely Today and notifications where under notifications you will find all the notifications and in the Today section you have over view of your day along with widgets. As I mentioned above let us discuss about how to add and use today widget in Notification center of OS X.
How to use Today Widgets
- Initially you have to launch Notification center by clicking the icon which is present at the right hand corner of the screen.
- Be default you ll see some inbuilt widgets like today’s summary stocks etc. Even you can add your Widget by clicking your edit button at the bottom and this will slide out another panel from the right, with more widgets that are available, but not added.
- To add the Widget, click on the green add icon which is present next to widget icon.
- To change the order in which the widget appears, click and drag the holder icon next to widget, and move it above or below depending on where you want to place it.
- If you want to delete it, simple click on the red button icon which is present on the left of every Widget in the edit mode.
By default OS X Yosemite comes with nine pre-installed Widgets namely Today and Tomorrow Calendar, Reminders, Weather, Stocks, World Clock, Calculator, Social, and Calendar. In this default widgets some of them are interactive.
