- Initially you have to open the new window in finder.
- Now organize the view by column by clicking the third button from the left above the word view or alternatively you can do by typing command 3.
- Hold down the option key on the keyboard and keep the cursor at the corner of the column now it will change to regular/normal cursor to column width cursor.
- Click the mouse and drag the column to its new width and all the other columns in that window should move with it.
- Now go for the mouse button to set the width and let go to do option key.
